Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be satisfied with LawNation's Services. Because our Services involve government stamp duty and time-bound document processing, refund eligibility depends on how far your order has progressed. This policy explains when a cancellation or refund is possible.

If you cancel your order before we have generated your document or initiated e-stamping/notary processing, you are eligible for a full refund. Cancellation requests can be sent to support@lawnation.online along with your order ID.

Once payment is confirmed and we (or our e-stamping/notary partners) have begun processing — including purchase of e-stamp paper — the stamp duty portion of your payment becomes non-refundable, as this amount is remitted to the relevant state government or authorised stamp vendor and cannot be reversed once issued. The service charge portion may be refunded at LawNation's discretion if the document has not yet been delivered.

Once your rent agreement / document has been generated and delivered (e.g. made available for download or sent by email), the order is considered complete and is not eligible for a refund, except where the delivered document is materially incorrect due to an error on LawNation's part (see Section 5).

If a document is not delivered, is technically defective, or contains an error directly caused by LawNation (as opposed to information you provided), we will first attempt to correct and redeliver the document. If a correction is not possible, you are entitled to a full refund of the service charge, and of the stamp duty amount where it can be recovered from the issuing authority.

If a payment is deducted from your account but the order was not successfully created (e.g. due to a gateway error), or if you are charged twice for the same order, the duplicate/failed amount will be refunded in full once verified.

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method via our payment partner, Cashfree Payments, and typically reflect within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
